The Internet Safety Day, celebrated this year on February 10, will be marked by the organizers by conducting a competition for children between the ages of 6 and 19 years.
The concrete "My Internet Family" aims to raise awareness among children and young people, but also parents, of the dangers of unsupervised browsing on the Internet.
The main objective of the contest is to send a message of awareness about the ethics and safety of the use of information and communications technology, more precisely the internet and mobile telephony.
In the 6th edition of Safer Internet Day - Internet Safety Day, the Sigur.info Consortium, formed by the Save the Children Romania Organization, Positive Media and Focus - the Romanian Center for Missing and Sexually Exploited Children, invites children and young people with Ages between 6 and 19 years old to participate with multimedia projects in which to try to illustrate the parent-child relationship regarding the safe use of the Internet in the family.
Children will work individually or in teams of up to 3 children, by age groups, as follows:
They will be coordinated by an adult: parent, teacher or teacher.
The projects can be sent in one of the following formats: electronic material that can be printed (drawings, posters, flyers), Power Point presentations, Flash presentations, video (videos made with a mobile phone, camera or video). The file size should not exceed 8 MB and should not last more than 2 minutes.
The winners will be selected between February 6-9, 2009, according to criteria that will be published on the site sid2009.sigur.info starting with 20.12.2008.
The winners will be announced on the occasion of Safer Internet Day 2009, on February 10, during a press conference.
